About Jack Daniel's Delivery Service

Jack Daniel's Delivery Service had its start in 1983 when Jack's sixteen-year-old son, Buddy, stopped by his mother's office one day, and her boss asked him to run an errand.

Buddy told his dad about how he got paid to run a bundle of papers to Houston, and that gave Jack an idea. Playing on his name with the slogan "100 proof effective service", Jack Daniel clipped a pager to his belt and started a hot-shot delivery service.

From those humble beginnings sprang a family business that has thrived for over 35 years. The business was still growing when Jack turned the business over to Buddy nearly 15 years ago. Today, we have a huge fleet of pickup trucks and flatbed trailers.

Now Jack Daniel's Delivery Service, or JDDS, delivers all over the country, hauling everything from envelopes to freight up to 25,000 pounds. Jack passed away in 2010, leaving his wife, Ernestine, and his son, Jack 'Buddy' Daniel, Jr., a legacy of honest character and hard work. Jack Daniel's Delivery Service is still a family business, with Buddy's son, Brandon, helping with runs when his college classes aren’t tying him up.
